Growing up doesn't mean we have to stop listening to Dr. Seuss, he is a brilliant doctor after all. Reading can open a world of knowledge that can lead to endless opportunities. Michael, owner of JT, tries to read as many books as he can in the nonexistent "free" time adulting gives us.
The book suggestion of the month, an oldie but a goodie, is "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey.
A very easy that will inspire you to conquer your biggest dreams...or accessible cliff notes if you have 5 minutes between work and picking up the kids. Here's the link to make it easier: https://thepowermoves.com/the-7-habits-of-highly-effective-people/.
Michael loves that Stephen portrays change through you. It starts with yourself and how you see the world. Which is why the first three habits deal with you, because it starts with you. Four, five and six deal with relationships and the people around you, and seven focuses on growth after finishing the book. The author does not suggest a quick fix, but a life change.
Here are the habits listed to inspire the read:
Habit 1: Be Proactive
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Habit 3: Put First Things First
Habit 4: Think Win / Win
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
Habit 6: Synergize
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Michael and his family highly recommend, enjoy!
